1st Choice Women’s Health Center is looking for help

Kehilat Sar Shalom supports the 1st Choice Women’s Health Center, because we believe in the work that they are doing. They have asked for some help. They are looking for people who are willing to pray specifically for their ministry, and be part of a prayer team network. Prayer is one of the cheapest yet most effective gifts you can give anyone. So when it comes to bang for your buck, you cannot beat prayer.
They are also seeking people who are willing to volunteer at their clinic. They are a crisis pregnancy center, providing all kinds of service. To see more about their ministry, and help you decide whether you might want to volunteer, check out their website by clicking their logo below.

If you are ready and willing to be the hands and feet of Messiah by serving as a volunteer, the shifts are 2-3 hours, and you can do as little as 1 shift per week. Please 703-729-1123.

New Telephone Number!
Kehilat Sar Shalom has a new telephone number! Our old phone number will stay active until the end of this year. After that, it will no longer be in service. The new number is active already, so please begin using it.
The leadership has decided to make the change in order to save the expense of an office telephone that is never manned anyway. You will be able to leave a message, and it will be sent directly to our administrator, who can then forward it to the appropriate person in the congregation.

Men’s Ministry Meeting
There will be a very important meeting of the Men’s Ministry on Satruday, November 21st. We will be reviewing upcoming events. This meeting will take a MINIMUM of 2 hours. Please plan accordingly. It will begin immediately following services, at approximately 1:00pm.
Women’s Bible Study
Twice each month, on the 1st and 3rd Monday’s, the women of Kehilat Sar Shalom get together for fellowship the study of God’s Word. We are currently in the start-up phase and discussing the options for the study. We meet at:

Men’s Bible, Bagels and Prayer
Join the men (Bar Mitzvah age or older) on the second Shabbat (Saturday) each month at 8:15 as we chew on the Word with a nosh and a prayer. Email the Rabbi with questions.
The next meeting will be January 9th.
