Food Ministry

Part of being a member of a community is knowing that when things get a little tough, there are people out there who will pull together to help in any way that they can. Kehilat Sar Shalom is a community that takes seriously the obligation of a community to take care of it’s members. This does not just apply to members of the congregation, but to all those in the community who have a need.

Food Ministry

Through a partnership with Celestial Manna, Kehilat Sar Shalom is pleased to be able to offer food to those who are in need in our congregation and surrounding community.  The food is collected throughout the week and made available on Shabbat, after services. Although we would love to have you attend our services to see what our congregation is all about, there is no requirement to do so to receive the food. If you are in need, simply come and we are glad to help. During the time when the food is available, the congregation is having our oneg Shabbat. This is our dedicated time for fellowshipping with each other and sharing a small bite to eat. Please feel free to stop by and see just what kind of community we are.

Food will usually be available from approximately 1:15pm each Saturday, until approximately 2:00pm or 2:30pm. Typically, there are breads, fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, and more. If you are interested in stopping by and picking up food, it would be highly recommended that you sign up on the BiblicalMessiah.com site. By doing so, you will get updates and e-mails about the status of the food runs each week, and any special instructions for picking up the food.
