Women’s Ministry

womens-ministry

The Women’s Ministry is a group of dynamic ladies who desire to have their lives molded and shaped as a woman after God’s will. The objective of Women’s’ Ministry is to help the women of the congregation experience Yeshua in a personal, life-changing relationship.  When Yeshua calls us into a relationship with Him, He also calls us to ministry — some type of service to others.  As women become actively involved in ministry, the entire congregation is blessed.

Our Women’s Ministry desires to impact women’s hearts and lives with the power and love of Yeshua as they are encouraged and exhorted through the Word of God.

The heart of the ministry is to teach, equip, strengthen and encourage the women of the body to live Messiah centered lives as they grow in their one on one relationship with Yeshua, their families and with one another.

The women’s ministry is also designed to help people discover their true identity and finally live in the freedom that God uniquely created them to thrive in. The Rebbetzin is entrusted with helping the women of Kehilat Sar Shalom “charge up” in their faith through discipleship.

We encourage the women to step out in faith to use their gifts and talents to build up the body as they go forth to make disciples of Yeshua.

Secret Sister Program

Currently, Kehilat Sar Shalom has a Secret Sister program that begins in February of each year and runs through the end of January of the following year. All the ladies in our congregation are invited to participate in this ministry of caring and sharing with other sisters in Messiah. Each participant will be given a ‘sister’ that the participant will need to pray for and encourage. At the end of the year, we will reveal our sisters at a luncheon for all participants.

Women’s Devotional Study  (to purchase your own copy of the devotional, click here)

Making Eye Contact with GodThe women of Kehilat Sar Shalom are currently doing a weekly devotional, “Making Eye Contact With God,” by author Terri Gillespie. This devotional journeys with readers through Scripture, stories and prayer toward “Secret Places. “Those places, as she writes, “where God and I made contact–emotionally, spiritually, and in some ways physically.” Then, at the edge of contact, through prompts and questions, Gillespie steps back, allowing the reader to enter their own intimate, “Secret Place” with the Lord. At the end of each week the reader is helped to analyze their journey and claim what they have learned about their deepening relationship with God.

The women of Kehilat Sar Shalom meet approximately every six weeks to discuss their process through the journal. They also blog their experiences and insights to help edify and encourage each other.

If you are interested in participating in the Secret Sister program or the Devotional Study, please see the Rebbetzin or email her at rebbetzin@kehilatsarshalom.org.
