SUMMARY:Passover Seder
DESCRIPTION:KSS is hosting a Passover Seder in place of our normal Shabbat service on April 19\, 2025. \nWe will be doing things a little different this year due to scheduling issues with the Church of the Holy Spirit.  It will be a traditional seder with a meal\, however\, it will be a fellowship meal that participants will need to sign up for specific items to contribute to the seder. There will also be a sign-up sheet to contribute the elements needed for the seder plate. Sign-up sheets will be on the table this Shabbat and April 12th. If you are unable to attend those Shabbat services but are planning on attending the seder on April 19th\, please email me at Kim.Surasky@gmail.com \nWe will also need help with set-up and tear-down for the seder. The Church of the Holy Spirit is holding an event at the church that evening and we need to reset the sanctuary before their activity. There will be sign-up sheets available this Shabbat and April 12th to commit to helping with set-up and tear-down before and after the seder. \nThe purpose of doing the event in this manner this year is to make it more of a family seder and affordable for all. You must RSVP for the seder and are expected to sign up and contribute to the seder meal items. All items need to be leaven free. All items brought for the meal need to be fully cooked and ready to be served. You will need to be responsible for cleaning your dishes and utensils\, so we highly recommend that you bring items in a crockpot (if applicable) or disposable containers. \nA RSVP sheet will be on the welcome table this Shabbat and next. You must RSVP by April 12th. Only those who RSVP will be able to participate. \nWe look forward to seeing you at the seder! \n** Seder customs include telling the story\, discussing the story\, drinking four cups of wine\, eating matzah\, partaking of symbolic foods\, and reclining in celebration of freedom. The Seder is among the most commonly celebrated Jewish rituals\, performed by Jews all over the world. \n
